The Spirit of Jerusalem

Midway between the Dead Sea and the Mediterranean,
Among hills and mountains, Jerusalem stands up.
For thousands of years, people enter and leave that city.
Do not extrapolate Jerusalem from all other cities you have seen.

All of me intensify as I pass the hills towards The City,
I burst with cry.
Suddenly, The Bible is clearly seen.
At Mount Moriah, I'm
Totally absorbed.
My past doesn't count; now it's up to me.

Here, every piece of rock is me.
It tells me the history of mankind.
The Temple Mount is a long line of poetry written,
I sit and read it.
